Have you ever heard about human "Chimera" DNA?
Remember that the Chimera was a Greek, mythical beast with a lion's head, a goat's body, and a serpent's tail... Now, the name "Chimera" is used to describe a medical condition that for a long time, was believed to be impossible. It is a single individual that has more than one type of DNA in their bodies.
WHAAAAAT?! The whole point of DNA is that it is 100% unique to us, right? So how is this possible?
Well...and this is freaky....it is believed that while that person was still developing in their mother's womb, that they actually had a fraternal twin in there with them. The twin would have died and then been absorbed by the living zygote/fetus. Hence two sets of DNA in one person.

Wait, it gets worse....Have you ever heard of Andrei Chikatilo? ...Possibly Russia's most prolific serial killer (about 56 victims). Turns out he was captured much earlier in the investigation, but they had to let him go because his blood type was different from the evidence left at the scene.
Later, when they finally caught him red-handed (many kills later), they discovered that his blood was a different type than his body fuilds. Needless to say, it was pretty shocking.
Chikatilo was executed in 1994.
There is an excellent movie about him and about the investigation, called Citizen X.
Let's hope that most chimeras don't persue a life of crime...
