MY EXPECTATIONS

THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE:

Students are expected to BE RESPECTFUL, of me and of each other. My classroom is a safe space where students are free to express themselves without fear. Bullying of any kind is absolutely not tolerated and will result in administrative discipline. Using words that are disrespectful, or hateful will not be tolerated either.

CLASSROOM CONDUCT:

1.  Grab your supplies and get to work! Don't waste your time. If you do, your

     grades will suffer.

2.  Treat the supplies with care. Put them back where they belong.

3.  Always bring your sketchbook to class. Take good care of it, you won't get

     another one.

4.  If I am talking, you are LISTENING.

6.  Light conversation, while working, is ok. However, if it gets too distracting, I          reserve the right to move you.

5.  Clean up after yourself.

6. Use the recycling bin whenever possible.

7.  Never leave the classroom before the bell rings. This is my #1 pet peeve and

I WILL give you a referral for it.

8.  Absolutely NO spraying of perfumes, fragrances or colognes in my

classroom. This isn't something that should ever been done in someone

else's space. People can be allergic or sensitive to smells.

PHONE ETIQUETTE:

1.  Phones are only used for:

-Looking up images for reference material..

     -Listening to music

2.  If I am talking, your phones will be put away and your earbuds will be out of

     your ears.

3.  Getting/Sending the occasional text is ok.

4.  ABSOLUTELY NO GAMES OR MOVIES. **this is a huge problem** In a

technology based classroom, there is a lot of opportunity for distraction. I will

not tolerate you playing video games or watching TV, or movies.

*warning/confiscation of phone/call home & referral are the consequences.

5.  Emergency phone calls can be taken OUTSIDE. Just let me know first.
