Scoring Rubrics

The College Board has detailed rubrics available on its website. It's a lot of information. Try not to get too worried about it. I'll make sure you stay on track and are doing all the things you need to do. Just remember that your ideas, reasoning, and methods are just as important as the final visuals.

My Grading:

This is a college-level art class, so expectations for your work are high, and you will be graded accordingly. On deadline days, you will grab a rubric (you will have the choice between a drawing rubric or a 2D design rubric). You will self-grade, then turn everything in to me. Once I grade your work we will have a discussion about it, and you will show me your notes about the piece. (The notes are 10 points).

Late work is only accepted after two weeks. You will be docked a full grade for each week it is late.

All work can be resubmitted for more points after being reworked. If it was late, you will still only be able to go as high as the docked grade. For example, if you turn in work one week late, that is graded as a C, and you rework it. The most you'll be able to earn is a B+.
